Bangkok, Thailand

been to a lot of different temples, and i must say the architectural details were just so BEAUTIFUL. people are friendly but it was really hard to shop at the night markets as a tourist, every time i want to buy something i had to argue with the vendor for discounts for at least 10 mins. you HAVE to compare the price of same item at different booths if possible and ask for discounts. it’s such a hassle. :( it is nice to shop at the malls, they have nice souvenirs!!!! hmmm..i loved the foods in Bangkok, very affordable too but i didn’t get to try the street foods, i didn’t want to get stomach ache or anything. i thought it’s better to be safe than be sorry during this trip. haha what else….ohh…had to bargain with the tuk-tuk drivers, even taxi drivers as well..not so good memories…:((

hmmm..too bad i didn’t get to visit the Jatujak/Chatuchak Market, maybe next time! :)

lastly, if you want to have a quiet, peaceful trip in Bangkok, i suggest you not to travel during the holidays esp. new year, ‘coz it’s VERY crowded at the temples. :)

here’s a few shots from my trip to Bangkok last ‘09 & ‘10.

i’ll keep this post short(?) and will post some other pictures after this one. :)

Silly me! x_x

i ♥ Jeju

HELLO :) welcome to Koko’s blog! i’ll be blogging about my simple life; trips, daily life, thoughts & ideas, fashion, food, dreams, yeah, just anything about myself. i’m doing this for myself, blogging can be really therapeutic, and i also hope to inspire and share things with other people who are going to read my blog. :)

when i was a kid or when i was younger, i didn’t get to travel a lot just because my dad hates traveling, i’ve been living here in the Philippines for about 10 years now and i think my dad has visited me only 4 times as far as i can remember. can you imagine, just 4 times in 10 years? :p it’s not that my dad doesn’t care/love me. haha it’s just not his thing. anyway, i do love traveling so when i got older, i told myself i should travel as much as i can, like at least 2 different places/countries in a year. and it started back in 2009.

*i remember i used to visit my family in S.K. once or twice a year when i was still in high school.*

2008 - S.K.(South Korea)

2009 - S.K. , Hong Kong, Thailand(spent the new year in Bangkok)

2010 - Thailand, S.K., Taiwan, Hong Kong

hopefully i’ll be traveling more in 2011! :p

hmm..for the first travel post, i’ve decided to introduce Jeju Island in S.K. which is the country’s largest island. (fyi. i’m not a professional tour guide so bear with my posts hehe) i’ve been to Jeju island(Jejudo) twice, once when i was 9 years old and last year, 2010.

OKAY, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO VISIT JEJU ISLAND? HERE’S WHY,

IN JEJU ISLAND, THERE ARE Beaches, Caves, Mountains, Waterfalls, Themed Museums(Jeju National Museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum, Chocolate Museum,Love Land, Museum of Sex and Health and A LOT MORE), Folk Villages, Parks(Dokkebi/Korean Goblins Park, Botanical Gardens/Parks, Amusement Parks, ETC.), Galleries, Cruise/Submarine Tours(during my first trip to Jeju, i was able to ride YELLOW SUBMARINE, COOLEST EXPERIENCE EVER!), Horse Racing, Golf, Casinos, ETC. ETC.!!!!

last year i stayed in Jeju Island for 3 days, and during my stay, i was able to visit the following places:

1.Teddy Bear Museum, 2.Jeju World Automobile Museum, 3.Hallim Park, 4.Seongsan Sunrise Peak, 5.Hallasan National Park, 6.Seopjikoji, 7.Jeju Soingook Theme Park(miniature theme park), 8.Jeju Mini Mini Land, 9.HyeopJae Beach 10.Yongduam Rock(dragon head rock), 11.Dokkebi Road(the car can move without it’s motor running on this mysterious road, tried and tested!!!!)

The bold ones are which i recommend, esp. if you have kids with you. pls. research for yourself for more info too! i hope i didn’t miss any place.  :p

there are so many pictures so i just picked some from Jeju World Automobile Museum, Teddy Bear Museum, Hallim Park, and HyeopJae Beach.

Some cool vintage cars and my dad!

My favorties, The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo Buonarroti, Teddy Bear in Louis Vuitton, Monalisa by Leonardo da Vinci, and the World’s Smallest Teddy Bears!!!

The teddy bears from the Korean drama, Goong, Princess Hours.

my one of the cutest cousins and my sis in the last frame ;)

Biggest Bear i’ve ever hugged! Anything wrong on the 2nd frame? x_x

Hallim Park with my cousins, how could i possibly not love this trip when i was with ‘em!? hehe!

HyeopJae Beach with my dad.

There are so much to see, feel, and experience in Jeju, a place you won’t regret traveling definitely!

Book your flight now! LOL!
