been to a lot of different temples, and i must say the architectural details were just so BEAUTIFUL. people are friendly but it was really hard to shop at the night markets as a tourist, every time i want to buy something i had to argue with the vendor for discounts for at least 10 mins. you HAVE to compare the price of same item at different booths if possible and ask for discounts. it’s such a hassle. :( it is nice to shop at the malls, they have nice souvenirs!!!! hmmm..i loved the foods in Bangkok, very affordable too but i didn’t get to try the street foods, i didn’t want to get stomach ache or anything. i thought it’s better to be safe than be sorry during this trip. haha what else….ohh…had to bargain with the tuk-tuk drivers, even taxi drivers as well..not so good memories…:((
hmmm..too bad i didn’t get to visit the Jatujak/Chatuchak Market, maybe next time! :)
lastly, if you want to have a quiet, peaceful trip in Bangkok, i suggest you not to travel during the holidays esp. new year, ‘coz it’s VERY crowded at the temples. :)
here’s a few shots from my trip to Bangkok last ‘09 & ‘10.
i’ll keep this post short(?) and will post some other pictures after this one. :)
